The children are officially Rice's. We went to the Civil Affairs Office today and completed all the paperwork to finalize the adoption. It was super easy and they were very nice. Wenqiang had to place his handprint and Han had to place her handprint, write a statement, and seal that with her fingerprint. After we were all done we went out to lunch. We have been having our guide take us to authentic Chinese restaurants and today's was delicious. Because we try everything and like it, our guide said he'd take us out anytime to eat. I get the impression not everyone wants to try new things when he takes them places. After lunch we went to the famous Batou Lake Springs. The gardens even in their winter slumber were beautiful. It was a very peaceful afternoon. On the way back to the hotel, we stopped to watch the fountain show in the plaza. It was really neat and the kids enjoyed it so much. Here are some of the better pics of the day (remember you can always click them to enlarge them)....
